Sacha Baron Cohen Allowed To Be The Dictator At The Oscars; Zionists?

Beverly Hills, CA (And thanks to the Courtyard By Marriott Century City / Beverly Hills) – After a back-and-forth played out in the media – and what Deadline Hollywood Blogger Nikke Finke called a possible setup – Sacha Baron Cohen has been allowed to attend The 84th Academy Awards Red Carpet in character as The Dictator.

But what has some up in arms is, first, the idea that this episode was possibly a setup by the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to create some pre-Oscar buzz, and second, that Sacha Baron Cohen called AMPAS members “Zionists.”

“Admiral General Aladeen will deliver a formal response tomorrow morning to being banned from the Oscars by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Zionists”.

A ton of media outlets have explained Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Zionist” blast without showing the definition of the term. A person called a “Zionist” is being called a Jewish racist. Thus, Sacha Baron Cohen is calling the members of The Academy Jewish racists. Not nice, true, or at all funny.

The other problem with Sacha Baron Cohen’s statement is it’s bringing out those who are racist and anti-semitic (or hostile to Jews because they’re Jewish). Already I have had to remove and block YouTube commenters who think it’s OK to come to my channel on this video and make comments that are offensive to anyone, especially someone Jewish.

That is Sacha Baron Cohen’s fault.

I don’t care if it’s entertainment, it’s wrong, and it would be great if Cohen would take back the statement.
