Edward Snowden, the NSA Whistleblower who introduced the World to the name PRISM, is, as of this writing in Moscow, and ether still in the airport, or at the Ecuador Embassy. Sunday marked a wild day for him and for the media.
It started with Edward Snowden being given the right to leave Hong Kong and with the assistance of WikiLeaks members. He was flown to Moscow, where it was thought he was headed next to Iceland, but then plans changed and he asked for asylum in Ecuador.
Snowden was reportedly last visited by Ecuador’s Ambassador, who’s BMW parked at the airport was photographed more times than at an auto show. Ecuador says they’re “analyzing” the situation. One issue is that the extradition treaty between the U.S. and Ecuador covers the crime of espionage.
At this point, the U.S. Government is pissed off with China and so far Russia for letting Snowden get this far.
Stay tuned.
