“Gmail down” was the cry in Facebook and Twitter posts as recently as moments ago.
TechCrunch reported “widespread” outages around the World, and said the result was a 500 “Service Unavailable” page reading. And the tech blog reports that the outage lasted for about 50 minutes.

You get the idea.
So while all of this was going on, my gmail was working just fine.
But then my gmail account is a business one. The kind where you hook it to your website’s domain so that it matches your business brand, or in this case, Sports Business Simulations.
So, my guess is that because it’s on a different server my gmail account was immune to whatever was going on.
And so there’s the solution for the rest of you: start a business, get a gmail corporate account.
