Tis the season for giving at Hillsdale Shopping Center. As part of the season of giving, Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo, Ca., is providing guests with opportunities to give back to the community while wrapping up their holiday shopping.
The San Mateo Fire Department and Hillsdale teamed up to give back with their 35th Annual Toys for Tots Drive. Toy donations, both new and used, are being accepted Monday, December 22, at the San Mateo Firefighter’s Booth across from the LEGO store. So far, Hillsdale has collected 500 toys per day since Monday, December 1.
Hillsdale Shopping Center provides gift wrapping services located near the Lenscrafters, until Wednesday, December 24. This is a no-fuss way to get your presents wrapped and donate to the community. All proceeds benefit the Women’s American Occupational Rehabilitation through Computer Technological Training.
In addition, Hillsdale participated in One Warm Coat with the help of Samaritan House to keep those less fortunate warm this holiday season. Hillsdale collected over 1,000 coats and jackets and coats still keep coming in.
“Giving back to those in need during the holidays is just as important as shopping for loved ones,” said Hillsdale Shopping Center Marketing Director Christine Kupczak. “We want every family and community member to experience the joy of the holiday season and Toys for Tots, One Warm Coat and the gift wrapping booth are a great way for that to happen.”
