The San Francisco Giants have done it again; forced a Game 7, the final, decisive contest to determine who is going to the World Series. That game’s played tomorrow, Monday. That means the San Francisco Giants have scratched back from being down two games to tie the defending World Champions. (Photo by lchassett’s photostream on Flickr.)
The Giants’ Ryan Vogelsong’s the game winner, and struck out nine St. Louis Cardinals batters in route to a 6 to 1 win at AT&T Park. Chris Carpenter for the Cards was the losing pitcher. Now, in a rematch of Game 3, won by the Cardinals, San Francisco’s Matt Cain and St. Louis’ Kyle Lohse are set to pitch on Monday.
Seldom does a team and or a person get a second chance. Matt Cain’s got his.
But for San Francisco / Oakland Bay Area fans who saw the Oakland A’s force a final Game 5 at home, only to lose, there has to be a feeling of de ja vu.
Stay tuned.
