Hannah Anderson Interview Video From NBC TODAY Show

Hannah Anderson was said to have wrote letters to James Lee DiMaggio and also to have called him 13 times.

Hannah Anderson granted an exclusive interview to NBC News, which resulted in this video you’re about to see. In the “Hannah Anderson Interview,” she says that the 13 phone calls weren’t calls at all, but text messages. Jim DiMaggio wanted to know where to pick her up as he didn’t have her address.

But what the NBC reporter failed to ask was why he was going to come and get her (He was picking her up from cheerleading camp, but why him?) in the first place – or if the question was asked, it was left out of the edited video.

“Me and him would talk about how to deal with it,” she said. “And I’d tell him how I felt about it. And he helped me through it. They weren’t anything bad. They’re just to help me through tough times.”

The trouble is, the video doesn’t show the full, unedited interview, so we’re not given a complete view of what happened from Hannah Anderson’s point of view.

Moreover, NBC has not, as of this writing, provided a full video transcript. But I do feel sorry for Hannah Anderson, because, the bottom line is she’s 16, and didn’t know how to deal with a man who was obviously a psycho, but of the worst kind: someone close to her parents and thus not considered in that way by them.

Stay tuned.
