Adam McKay Out As Ant-Man Director Adam McKay who was said to be the new Ant-Man director is out on the same day.
Mr. McKay issued a Twitter tweet saying that he met with Marvel Entertainment and Stan Lee and Jack Kirby but he has other projects he is committee to.
And yes, met w/Marvel. Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects I'm committed to. Not sure it can work.

That is another way of saying they could not make the money work. McKay knew he had the other upcoming assignments but met with Marvel assuming they were able to pay him enough to do a switch.
