Oakland Running Festival enjoys good weather, tough competition
Contra Costa Times
OAKLAND — As the Oakland Running Festival marathon began at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, the sun was just starting to peek out into the sky and the air was cool, an asset to the 1,099 marathon runners who attempted the 26.2 mile course around the city.
