UPDATE: More Godzilla San Francisco Set Information Revealed!

UPDATE VIDEO:

Godzilla is still being filmed in Surrey, BC, and while that outdoor work is going on, there’s a photo from an indoor set that’s getting a lot of buzz, and another that was virtually ignored by the media, but gives the biggest clue yet to what is going to happen when the movie’s released on May 16th 2014.

Let’s start with that one, because it strongly implies the title of this blog entry: that Godzilla’s going to attack San Francisco!

The photo was posted by “Maid Natural” on Twitter, who owns Maid Natural Cleaning in Vancouver and says she’s a West Van girl transplanted to New West, with two kids and two dogs, a great business and a huge passion for crossfit.

Which means she could play one of military operatives in Godzilla 2014.

Here’s her Twitter tweet:

While there are other photos of crushed cars from the Godzilla NewWest (for “New Westminster”) movie set, none give away the city that the famed first Japanese giant monster will attack. And while one other Vancouverite said that New West was being turned into San Francisco for Godzilla 2014, this Twitter tweet by “Maid Natural” is the only one with the San Francisco police car photo.

This news causes a lot of new questions to be formed. Will Godzilla attack the Golden Gate Bridge? Will he stomp The Marina District? Will Godzilla damage the rest of The San Francisco Bay Area? What about Oakland?

Godzilla Director Gareth Edwards had promised to make Godzilla, “as if it was really happening” – this is the best example yet that the helmer is serious when he makes that statement.

godzilla-books And given one other photo showing a kind of document by the U.S. Department Of Defense that’s a set of urban evacuation guidelines, we have to assume that was meant for San Francisco.

Wow.

What an incredible piece of news.

Godzilla will attack San Francisco.

We have to ask San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee what he thinks of this?

And how is it this was missed?

Because the media was paying attention to Legendary Pictures official Godzilla photo release, and that seemed to quell its collective appetite. But not this blogger.

UPDATE:

This brief video, first uploaded at Dread Central, shows a place in Vancouver being turned into “San Francisco Bay Area Park” for the Godzilla movie. It was issued May 10, 2013:

Stay tuned.
