Drew Brees Drew Brees and The New Orleans Saints are down right, rat-freaking annoying. They have exhibited the habit of playing in big games on Sunday and Monday Night this season, blowing out their opponents, then sucking like raw eggs the next Sunday. So, with that, look for the New Orleans Saints that totally destroyed the New York Giants 49-24 on Monday Night Football on that Cyber Monday night, to fall flat on their face against the Detroit Lions next Sunday.

Well, wait, that’s a Sunday Night game, right? Well, forget that.

The NY Giants showed up at The Louisiana Superdome with a game plan so bad you could have used it to line your birdcage, or wipe a zoo cage for that matter. It’s as if no one told The Giants about a neat little deal called an over-load max blitz. The G-Men got no pressure on Drew Brees, and Saints Head Coach Sean Peyton installed a game plan that had receivers running multiple-break patterns that take time to develop, and New York seemed only all too happy to give it to them.

Drew Brees put up World-beater, Cam Newton-style numbers: 24 of 38 passes for 363 yards and 5 touchdowns. That’s right – five of them. The question is that can the Saints do the same against The Detroit Lions next Sunday night?

If all goes according to form, this is a toss-up. The Lions have 10 days to prep for The Saints. Let’s see if they know what the term “blitz” means.

Stay tuned.
