Oakland Coliseum City, Floyd Kephart: Mayor Schaaf, Task Force Time
Oakland Coliseum City and Floyd Kephart have been joined at the hip. But now it’s time for Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf to form a citizen task force and form a plan for stadiums for the Raiders, A”s, and Warriors at the Coliseum. The Coliseum City plan Mr. Kephart formed was too big and that was not his fault at all. Oakland Councilmember Larry Reid wanted the larger housing oriented project but now it’s time to jettison that and move forward to actually form a doable approach that does not use public money.
