Chicago Tribune Chicago’s 143 years of weather records indicate the 60-degree warmth is overdue. The average first date of a 60-degree or higher day has been around March 1. Fittingly, temperatures since Dec. 1 have averaged the coldest on record: 20.5 degrees. |
