The GOP Debate last night on CNN was insane, and Anderson Cooper seemed to enjoy every moment. The candidates ran amok at certain points, most notably Mitt Romney and Rick Perry. The two had some back and forth banter and Romney even put his hand on Perry at one point. It got very intense and rather unprofessional.
The focus that stayed on those two was mostly due to the fact that they seemed so childish up on stage interrupting one another; CNN analysts who interviewed those in attendance believe that the way that Perry presented himself at the debate has hurt his chances of becoming the nominee – he acted very immaturely.
Ron Paul is the only one on that stage who never flip-flopped – and he deserved much more air time.
Of course – lots of talk about apples and oranges with Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 deal. Romney and Cain went at it in a more polite manner and Romney really got to him when he analyzed the plan that would add the 9% national sales tax to the tax that already exists within states.
The debate last night has been compared to wild west shows and there were jokes about charging people to attend the event because of how animalistic and uncivilized the candidates acted.
Jon Huntsman and Gary Johnson were not in attendance.
Michele Bachmann made a remark that hopefully what happens in Vegas won’t stay in Vegas and then she said this heartfelt speech in which she was trying to get votes from mothers.
Here’s a video of Romney and Perry from last night:
