The dream scenario – Cal’s baseball organization on the brink of elimination by its own university, get’s 11th hour help from Cal donors, then wins The College World Series – is on an ‘Are you fucking kidding me?’ path to reality.
It’s California vs. Virginia in the College World Series, tomorrow at 2 PM, EST, on ESPN!
And with that, who can forget this Cal Baseball Rap Song, that was once a simple cry for help, saying “Yeah. Raise your hand if you still gotta program:”
Cal Baseball has come a long, long way, and the 2011 squad deserves to have its collective face carved in stone, and immortalized in a statue that sits right in front of the new sports complex.
I’m serious. You just don’t see that kind of collective heart every day. This team deserves more, much more, than the typical Cal football game time out presentation.
But for now, send all of your prayers toward wishing for Cal to beat Virginia on Sunday. And if you’re atheist, give us a hand and drop it for one day. A little prayer won’t kill you!
GO BEARS!
