Kanye West turned away from the duty of being Kim Kardashian’s husband-to-be long enough to record a new album called New Slaves. And the time he spent was well-invested as Mr. West used locations in 66 spots at the following 10 cities around the World for a really cool introduction of the album mating locations, event planning, marketing, and social media: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Miami, London, Berlin, Paris, and Sydney Australia.
The setup is such that a projector has Kanye West overhead singing the lyrics to his song on a wall at each location at specific times listed on his website. One of the locations is Mel’s Drive-In in Hollywood on Highland at 12:30 AM, PST. Another, in San Francisco, is at The De Young Museum at 12:30 AM, PST.

Vine is being used to help capture the image.
I think where Kanye could have improved on the effort was in the use of blogs for each location – a live blog from that point, and each one hooked up to its own Twitter account, each, then sharing one special hashtag.
Well, next time.

Stay tuned.
