The company responsible for the 2-D that looks 3-D effects, Digital Domain Media Group, plan to take the Tupac Shakur show on the road. And Digital Domain Media Group Chief Creative Officer Ed Ulbrich told The Wall Street Journal “To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done.” And informed that all of the moves “Tupac” displayed Sunday night were not copied, but brand new.
Ulbrich’s comment about making a “synthetic human being” falls in line with what this blog post is about, and I didn’t even have to cue Ed. Let’s take this forward 30 to 50 years, and where technology would allow us to make a moving, ‘annamatronic’ ‘Tupac Shakur’ performer – free standing, moving on its own power, even acting in all ways like the ‘Pac’ when he was alive.
