Bryan Parker, focusing on the number one problem with his otherwise stellar campaign for Mayor of Oakland, name recognition, is rolling out a new video and has already seeded the Internet with banner and videos ads that appear whenever the keyword “Oakland” is used for a webpage or a YouTube video.
Parker has raised over $200,000 for his campaign thus far, and now he’s using that money to fuel this push. By my estimation Parker will have ended his name recognition problem by the end of May, and that will be reflected in new polling.
For those of you keeping score of such things as campaign videos, like I do, this one marks Bryan Parker’s second official campaign video, and he has four up on his YouTube channel to date. Joe Tuman has one video on his YouTube channel. Libby Schaaf doesn’t have a YouTube channel to this date. Dan Siegel has one from his campaign, and they’ve added the video interview I did with him to their “favorite video” playlist.
In all, Bryan’s the front runner for videos, and in social media and online marketing effort. No other candidate has really done anything in this area of note other than what I’ve mentioned.
Stay tuned.
