The whole issue about the Russian Meteor that flew over Central Russia Friday morning at 33,000 MPH, causing a sonic boom of such massive proportions that it caused damage to buildings in various cities in that country, has taken an absurd turn.
Now, a Russian politician is blaming America for the disaster.
But before we go there, here’s a look at what happened, to put it all in perspective:
Now, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the head of the Russian Liberal-Democratic Party, is saying that the meteor was, well, no meteor, and that the US “tested a new weapon” over Russia’s Ural Mountain Range.
“You’re like some primitive tribe. What meteorite? The universe that has its own laws. When something falls – it’s man-made. People are warmongers and provocateurs,” Zhirinovsky said according to RT.com.
Zhirinovsky also claims that the call new U.S. Secretary Of State John Kerry made to him was not to talk about North Korea’s nuclear threat or Syria, but to warn Russia about the meteor weapon.
Folks, as they say, you can’t make this stuff up.
Stay tuned.
