Charlie Sheen deactivated his Twitter account about two months ago, with his last tweet sent on June 12th, 2012. This one:

Well, Charlie Sheen’s twitter account is back and active, although he’s not issued a brand-new Twitter tweet as of this writing. He did tell TMZ.com that he was planning to reactivate the account, and while TMZ posted the news three hours ago, the blog failed to check to see if his account was back – this blogger checked and it is.
Right now Charlie has 4.371 million Twitter followers, leaving this blogger’s 92,000 number in the dust – about 1/40th the size of his total. Sheen told TMZ that he misses connecting with his fans, and so wants to start tweeting again. But more than that is Sheen managed to carve out a good social-media-based living from Twitter, restarted a career that looked to be dead, and gained millions of new fans.
Now that he’s got his own show again, quitting that which helped him get there, namely Twitter, was a huge mistake. I’m glad he’s back.
