The CROODS By Dreamworks; In Theaters March 28th In 3D

croods_bookThe CROODS, a 3D animation film by Dreamworks, looks like a modernized version of The Flintstones, with some Lost In Space and The Jungle Book thrown in, until you look deeper at the storyline. It’s billed as “The world’s very first prehistoric family goes on a road trip to an uncharted and fantastical world,” but is really about a family looking for a new home.

Starring the voices of Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Clark Duke, and Cloris Leachman and directed by Directed by Kirk De Micco (Space Chimps) and Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon), The CROODS features the family of the same name forced to find a new cave after the one they lived in and grew up in was destroyed via a natural disaster.

A Great Website For The CROODS

The CROODS is well-presented, and the website (http://www.thecroodsmovie.com/) is worth a visit. The trailer promises a movie that delivers a fun ride with a family that’s easy to like and to become concerned with – or as much as one can be concerned with an animated set of characters.

Kids will love The CROODS almost as much as their parents. It’s due for release on March 28th.

Stay tuned.
