WTC Window Washers Trapped, Rescued by FDNY.

World Trade Center Window Washers were trapped about 1,000 feet over Manhattan and on the new Freedom Tower. MSNBC reported that the scaffold somehow became unhinged and the workers were in the middle of a horror that could have seen them fall to their deaths.

Fortunately the New York Fire Department rescued the workers but there is still the issue of getting the scaffolding off the building.

I am really surprised that the window washing system is not automatic.

The incident started at 12:45 PM EST. The workers were rescued at the 69th floor.
