As this is blogged, I’m watching CNN and waiting for Angela Florey, the Florida Special Prosecutor, to come to the podium and announce what has been leaked to the media already just moments ago. Here she is. She said she talked to the parents of Trayvon Martin just moments ago.

What is “Second Degree Murder?”
According to the Free Legal Dictionary, this is the definition of Second Degree Murder:
second degree murder n. a non-premeditated killing, resulting from an assault in which death of the victim was a distinct possibility. Second degree murder is different from First Degree Murder which is a premeditated, intentional killing, or results from a vicious crime such as arson, rape, or armed robbery. Exact distinctions on degree vary by state.
Now, George Zimmerman’s said he’s not guilty of this. That means the question for this case is, did Zimmerman intend to commit some type of assault? It’s certain that he did not premeditate the murder, but George went after Trayvon Martin, and moreover he was told not to do so. That’s the problem, and it’s my bet this case will turn on that point.
What’s Manslaughter?
This, again according to the Free Legal Dictionary, is Manslaughter:
The unjustifiable, inexcusable, and intentional killing of a human being without deliberation, premeditation, and malice. The unlawful killing of a human being without any deliberation, which may be involuntary, in the commission of a lawful act without due caution and circumspection.
The problem for Mr. Zimmerman is that his actions can’t comfortably point to Manslaughter, because he did show at least deliberation and premeditation. Malice is almost there, but not quite.
George Zimmerman’s Brother Need To Stay Out Of It
George Zimmerman’s Brother came on Piers Morgan on CNN tonight, and gave a shameful performance, basically saying that his brother had a right to go after Trayvon Martin.
And when given the chance,Zimmerman failed to appropriately adress Martin’s parents. In short he was a total ass hole up there on TV, and it could turn as much on him as anything else. He needs to go away.
