TechCrunch Disrupt Day One was dominated by the rush of talks with founders of new startups competing for attention at the Startup Battlefield, and ended with a bit of time with a person who’s become a legendary founder.
As I stated in Monday’s blog post, I voted for Choister, the online service started by Ola Brukovskaya and Konstantin Zaslavsky which is a KAYAK for online and offine education. But I was also impressed with, and now use, the Maxthon Browser.
But beyond Choister and Maxthon, I was more than excited about Viddyad, the online application that allows you to, as the website says “create professional video ads for your business in minutes.” I had the pleasure of interviewing Viddyad Founder and CEO Grainne Barron, who’s here as part of a kind of ‘Irish Startup Tech Founder’ delegation, and parked at a place called “The Irish Pavilion.”
Viddyad automates the video ad development process. If you ever wanted to make a professional video advertisement for your business, you probably were stopped by the large, to exhorbitant, to unreasonably high costs that video producers charge for such work. And they do so out of a certain arrogance that you have no where to go so you have to deal with them if you want the video made right.
Well, not any more.
Here’s Grainne Barron:
Beyond Grainne Barron of Viddyad, there’s also an Atlanta-based startup I’ll talk more about later.
Stay tuned.
