IAWTV Board Of Directors: Vote For Zennie Abraham

This video is a follow-up to my statement entered in my run for one of five open IAWTV Board Of Directors seats.

Here’s the statement I left online:

Greetings IAWTV Board And Members

I’m Zennie Abraham, Executive Producer of Zennie62Media, which runs the blog Zennie62.com, the YouTube Partner and Blip.tv channel Zennie62, and a 78-blog network. Zennie62 covers news, politics, sports, tech, and pop culture. I’ve been a YT Partner since 2008, and a vlogger since 2006.

Web TV is at a cross-roads. What started as a few seconds of video of an event, but took hours to upload, is now, fully, TV online. TV on the web. Everything from comedies, to how-tos and dramas, and news commentary is online now. But this growth has come at the expense of the disruption of traditional media and television. Consider that for the first time, in 2012, fewer watched traditional television than the year before. The Broadcast TV audience has dropped 50 percent since 2002. Meanwhile, the online video audience is expected to grow to 1.5 billion by 2016.

The point is, more people are coming to view Web TV as the mainstream, and with that comes opportunities and problems. For IAWTV, we must look to grow our company into something that’s more than just giving out awards. The IAWTV must make sure its ahead of the winds of political change that may negatively impact not just web TV, but those producers who can least afford to handle those changes. In short, IAWTV must work to protect all of its members, not just the larger and more well-known ones it has and will have.

I want to bring my background as aide to two mayors of Oakland California, head of the Super Bowl / Oakland effort, CEO of my startup web company Sports Business Simulations, and now executive producer of Zennie62Media, to help IAWTV members achieve their goals, objectives, and most importantly, their dreams.

I ask for your vote to represent your interests on the IAWTV Board Of Directors.

Thank you,
Zennie Abraham

Thanks!
