Lindsey Vonn Wins 4th World Cup, Goes Godzilla In Wake Of Divorce

UPDATE: Fun with Lindsey Vonn and Tim Tebow!

Vonn Gets Ready To Attack
Lindsey Vonn’s doing her best Godzilla imitation in the wake of her divorce from husband Thomas Vonn, but rather than stomp on cars or shoot radioactive breath, Vonn responds by winning her 4th World Cup race in six days, second Super G, and the first win on American soil during that period – at home before a cheering crowd at Beaver Creek USA.

Here’s the dramatic call by Universal Sports on YouTube.com:

Vonn later told the Associated Press, “One of my best races of my career Getting a chance to win at home, with a home crowd here, it’s just more than I could’ve expected. In the start, I was probably the most nervous I’ve ever been. It wasn’t my best run. I almost went off course a couple of times, but I was able to charge on the bottom and make up some time.”

Vonn beat friendly competitor Julia Mancuso of the U.S., who finished eighth. She also beat the expectations of many (not this blogger), and channeled Tim Tebow at the end – more about that, later.

Stay tuned.
