Shannon Sharpe may want to get help for his speech impediment after last weekend, which saw Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update with Seth Meyers and Jay Pharoah as “Shannon Sharpe” totally nail the NFL on CBS Analyst’s way of talking.
If you haven’t seen it, here it is:
The skit appeared on the show where Miley Cyrus was the host, and by all accounts did a great job. So, considering how well Cyrus did, Jay Pharoah’s work got a real PR and ratings boost.
On Twitter, Jay Pharoah said:
Appreciate the love from everybody last night, amazing writing and collaboration from the SNL family..
— Jay Pharoah (@JayPharoah) October 7, 2013
Meanwhile, Shannon Sharpe didn’t like the skit tweeting that he “wasn’t impressed”
I did and wasn't impressed "@camy2112: @ShannonSharpe did you check out the SNL spoof?"
— shannon sharpe (@ShannonSharpe) October 7, 2013
But if you’re Shannon Sharpe, where can you go with that, anyway? It’s clear he didn’t like it. Still, someone should tell Shannon that it was a hit and went on Google Trends.
Hmmm. On second thought, maybe that’s not a good idea.
Stay tuned.
