Lindsey Vonn Vows To Race In Olympics

Lindsey Vonn, the most successful skier in U.S. history, vows to not only race again in November, but compete in the Sochi Olympics next year. And maybe come back to The David Letterman show…

And all of this came one day after Vonn’s crash, causing her to tear her anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in her right knee, as U.S. ski team medical director Kyle Wilkens wrote in a statement. Lindsey Vonn’s broken bone was called a “lateral tibial plateau fracture” which is a a fracture in the shinbone near the knee and that affects stability and motion.

In other words, right now, Vonn can barely walk. It’s going to be an uphill battle. But if she can do it, she’ll race in November and then come back to rock the Olympics in 2014.

Stay tuned.
