S.E. Cupp, Sunny Hostin On The View: The Twitter Verdict

S.E. Cupp and Sunny Hostin were on The View! Quick, head for the hills! Guard the liberal women and children, as the conservative is on the loose in the form of S.E. Cupp. Sunny Hostin is the less bombastic and more reasoned liberal legal commentator. Both are currently known for their work on CNN and HLN, though S.E.’s made the political commentator rounds over the years.

S.E. Cupp, who I love poking fun at because she’s the ultimate couch potato conservative not named Michelle Malkin or Sarah Palin, was on The View this morning, and I have to say she was OK. What I like is that she’s ambitious, but the whole effort at being conservative is, to me, a fake job to make money. She’s more independent, but her tag of being conservative puts money in her pocket, so we’re not likely to see her be more honest in her tone unless she’s pay to be that.

That written, I have to say I’m personally very proud of S.E. and it’s because she’s part of a group of people, some I know personally like Van Jones and John McWhorter, who have made careers out of giving their opinions, and I have to place myself in that, as I do the same via my blogs and vlogs, and have been on national TV, too. But the bottom line is, it’s cool to see someone who’s part of a small family of people rise.

And that includes Sunny Hostin.

By contrast to S.E., Sunny Hostin isn’t trying to be liberal or conservative, just interested – and she is liberal. Sunny particularly noted that T.I. “smelled nice,” and even repeated that thought on Twitter:

Maybe Sunny can tell us guys what his secret is? Meanwhile, here’s the Twitter verdict on both S.E. and Sunny. Mediaite captured the argument between Cupp and Whoopi Goldberg…

To which Twitter folks gave the ‘what for’ to Whoopi Goldberg, and..:

The bottom line is The View’s test of getting opinion makers is a good one. I do think S.E. and Sunny would be good, but I would like to see Meghan McCain on with Sunny just as a test.

That said, we need more liberal women commentators.

Stay tuned.
