Currently, the young man with the nickname of Johnny Football is under investigation by the NCAA for allegedly making money off the same of his autograph, a violation of a rule governing student athletes.
While the rule itself is questionable, given the money schools make off their players, for now, it’s in place. And that makes this seemingly harmless, meaningless photo I found have meaning.
This Texas High School graduate said that he got this Johnny Manziel autographed hat from “his cousin Dean, who has a friend who works for Johnny.” That’s fine until you roll around the idea that Johnny Manziel has a person who works for him. Huh?
Could it be Drew Tieman, the man who’s alleged to have been a kind of broker for Johnny Manziel?
A YouTube Commenter who claims to have an important role in this says the photo is much ado about nothing:

I am one of the caregivers who takes care of the mother of the “friend” (actually Patrick’s cousin) and I know the housekeeper in question. The story is true and no money was paid for the signature! You hope the allegations are false… but you sure are looking for evidence! I wish people would just let the NCAA do their investigation and stop putting innocent peoples names up on youtube and causing their family and friends to freak out, when neither one of these men did anything wrong!
Personally, I don’t want to believe it’s true but when something like this pops up, you have to ask about it under the circumstances.
Stay tuned.
