Here’s the latest update on the San Francisco / Oakland Transbay Terminal Project, from the press release on the effort to build a new SF Transbay Terminal:
Friday, August 3, 2012 – Sunday, August 12, 2012
This week at Transbay…
REMINDER: The Fremont Street temporary bridge installation will be performed over Labor Day weekend, with Fremont Street closed from Friday, August 31 through Tuesday, September 4 at 5:00 AM. This is a full closure of Fremont Street between Howard and Mission Streets.
Though we will make every effort to minimize impact to neighbors around the project over the Labor Day weekend, the bridge installation will be a significant noise producing operation, in particular the demolition of the existing road and underground structures, and assembling and setting the bridge. In order to complete this activity under the tight time restrictions, the contractor will have to work around the clock. This will include noise-generating activities during the evening hours as well.
