Arkansas Athletic Director Jeff Long, eager to restart the Razorback’s challenged football program after a season marked by losses after he fired Head Coach Bobby Petrino for an affair with his assistant Jessica Dorrell, hired Wisconsin Head Coach Bret Bielema.

“His tough, aggressive style of play has been successful and will be appealing to student-athletes and Razorback fans,” Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long said in the statement released by the program. “He not only shares the vision and values for the future of Arkansas football, he embraces them.”

What Bielema brings is a hard-nosed running-oriented style that’s the reverse of the passing-oriented approach Petrino constructed. While both win, the SEC’s dominated by run-oriented Alabama, and every new coach hired is jokingly referred to as the next to be beaten by Crimson Tide Head Coach Nick Saban. Long figures the best way to beat “Bama is to copy them.

Arkansas fans are breathing a sign of relief. Not because Bret comes from a successful Wisconsin program. Not because Coach Bielema is well-regarded. No. They’re happy because Bret Bielema’s wife is hot – so hot, they’re comparing her to Ms. Dorrell on Twitter.

Point is, Bielema can focus on football, and off the field, on his wife, and not bring shame to the program.

Oh, and Ms. Dorrell landed a fundraising job in South Carolina. Reportedly, her fiance Josh Morgan also snagged a position as a swimming coach at the University of South Carolina. Here’s to their future success.

Stay tuned.
