I talked to Tim Dupuis, Registrar Of Voters, about the Oakland election 2014 situation with respect to Rank Choice Voting.
He explained that the unofficial vote updates were of the first choice votes. The RCV updates will come out starting tonight and is unofficial – that is only the first round of RCV counts. Subsequent RCV updates will be done several times a day until all votes are counted.
