Oakland Councilmember Libby Schaaf gave an update of her campaign to be Mayor Of Oakland. Right now, she is the front runner.

I met Libby in 1989 and her parents became my godparents. In 2009 I told her to run for Mayor. She ran for Oakland Council and won.

When Bryan Parker asked for my support of his run for Mayor of Oakland, I called Libby and at the time she said no. Then, four months later, she elected to do so.

So I had to play fast politics. Thank God for Rank Choice Voting. The night is young and the situation could change but Bryan and Libby have ran excellent campaigns.
