The Golden State Warriors just signed now former Denver Nuggets forward Andre Iguodala in a deal that sent reserve forward Richard Jefferson and reserve center Andris Biedrins to the Utah Jazz. Just as the deal was done, Mr. Iguodala sent a tweet to Stephen Curry that indicates their mutual objectives:

Now the question is, will Dwight Howard chose to join the Golden State Warriors, and effectively forming a new “big three” of Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, and Stephen Curry.

What’s clear is that Mr. Curry has been working overnight…

Here’s the bottom line: that deal has to have placed the Warriors into position to get Howard, and not for a “sign and trade” to the LA Lakers, but to keep Howard outright.

Consider that the Warriors just unloaded a center; Dwight Howard is a center.

Yahoo! Sports says the Utah Jazz will send guard Kevin Murphy to Golden State and the Oakland Warriors will receive “multiple draft picks,” including a first-round pick in 2014 and 2017, in exchange for getting the contracts.

Andre Iguodala was in the NBA All Star Game last year, and in 2011 was on the NBA All Defensive Team. He was the 2004 NBA Draft Pick of The Philadelphia 76ers.

Now, Golden State waits for Dwight Howard to make a decision.

Stay tuned.
