Last night Mitt Romney added another state and more delegates to his collection of wins. He came in first place with 47.6 percent of the votes, Newt Gingrich came in second place with 22.6 percent of the vote, Ron Paul came in third with 18.6 percent and Rick Santorum finished last with 11.1 percent, according to Google Elections.
However, since Nevada isn’t a “winner takes all” state, the delegates at stake were divided up. Nye and Esmeralda County went to Ron Paul, and Paul let everyone know that he isn’t leaving the race any time soon.
Romney and Paul were the only candidates to spend money campaigning in the state of Nevada.
In Gingrich’s speech last night he announced he was a Giants fan, another reason to dislike him. Go Patriots!
