Hey J&K StayInVegas Here’s Why Oakland A’s Ballpark At Tropicana Is A Great Idea

A month ago, one of my, Zennie Abraham, CEO of Zennie62Media, Inc,, favorite Las Vegas vlogger channels, J&K StayInVegas, made a vlog called “Here’s Why A’s Ballpark At Tropicana Is A Bad Idea”. Well, I reached out to share my thoughts and make a collaboration livestream, but Jay of J&K StayInVegas said he responded to my comment. Well, I never found it.

So, in perfect YouTube vlog fashion, I elected to put out this livestream called “Hey J&K StayInVegas Here’s Why Oakland A’s Ballpark At Tropicana Is A Great Idea”. I watched his vlog and could not disagree more with his points. So, here are mine.

1. First, I think folks should know that Jay of J&K StayInVegas is a real estate broker. He’s not shy about that, yet does not use the channel to promote his company. But I wondered if he was on the commercial side, and so checked him out. He represents Wardley Real Estate Family , which specializes in land and residential, and he says he helps people relocate from around the World. My thought is that Jay’s and his wife are great people who love Las Vegas, but if one’s in real estate, and talking about a giant real estate project like a sports and entertainment complex on the historic Tropicana property, one would be forgiven if they wondered if Jay’s interest was in having that Tropicana land available for one of his clients for housing?

2. Much has been made of the nine-acre footprint, and a number of mainstream media reporters have irresponsibly said it’s too small. Jay agrees with this, and seems to be quoting their takes. The fact is Fenway Park is nine acres, and the Boston Red Sox have done well there. Also, Los Angeles Architech Ben Garcia proved a ballpark could work on 9 acres and made a cool design for the Oakland A’s to be in Las Vegas a year and a half, ago, and at the Tropicana Hotel land. Bens’ design is the one I favor for that land, which gets to my other point. See his website called https://ift.tt/Vg8tRln

3. The design that A’s President Dave Kaval and Brad Schrock introduce is really a place-holder. The A’s have said they are looking for a design architect as recently as two weeks ago. That’s why I favor Ben’s design. Moreover, I introduced Ben to Dave and because Ben’s creation was getting passed around the Internet, but no one credited him or focused on him, so I elected to give him a spotlight in an hour-long livestream where he talks about the concept. It’s path-breaking, and is as important now as Camden Yards was in 1993. Again, see 51https://ift.tt/Vg8tRln

4. Now, Jay, for some strange reason, implies that the Tropicana Hotel site is “off-strip”, when it’s smack dab in the middle of the South Las Vegas Strip. Tropicana Hotel site is surrounded by major hotels: the MGM, New York, New York, Excalibur, Luxor, area all within a two blocks of the A’s Ballpark location, and Mandalay Bay is just another block away. Then, Allegiant Stadium is a quick 12 minute rideshare lift away from the ballpark. Indeed, one could even walk to it if weather permitted.

I could go on with other reasons, but the ones that are the most important have been presented.

The A’s Ballpark at Tropicana is an exciting addition to American Culture. That it’s happening in Las Vegas is part of the region’s sports economic development plan. And I have to add that the retractable roof issue is a non-issue: a roof design can be formed that fits the building and it does not have to be the full-length of the building. Look at Cowboys Stadium as one example.

Stay tuned.

Zennie62Blog.com : this video-blog post demonstrates the full and live operation of the latest updated version of an experimental Zennie62Media , Inc. mobile media video-blogging system network that was launched June 2018. This is a major part of Zennie62Media , Inc.’s new and innovative approach to the production of news media. What we call “The Third Wave of Media”. The uploaded video is from a YouTube channel. When the video is “liked” by Zennie62 YouTube, then it is automatically uploaded to and formatted automatically at the Zennie62Blog.com site and Zennie62-created and owned social media pages. The overall objective here, on top of our is smartphone-enabled, real-time, on the scene reporting of news, interviews, observations, and happenings anywhere in the World and within seconds and not hours – is the use of the existing YouTube social graph on any subject in the World. Now, news is reported with a smartphone and also by promoting current content on YouTube: no heavy and expensive cameras or even a laptop are necessary, or having a camera crew to shoot what is already on YouTube. The secondary objective is faster, and very inexpensive media content news production and distribution. We have found there is a disconnect between post length and time to product and revenue generated. With this, the problem is far less, though by no means solved. Zennie62Media is constantly working to improve the system network coding and seeks interested content and media technology partners.
