The Kansas City Chiefs managed to pull it together to pull out a win over the visiting Carolina Panthers, 27 to 21. But that took a back seat to the horrible tragedy off the field on Saturday morning, when KC Chiefs Linebacker Jovan Belcher came to practice, and after security discovered he was carrying a gun, he asked for GM Scott Pioli and Head Coach Romeo Crennel to come out. After thanking them for their help, Belcher walked away and shot himself in the head.
It was later revealed that Belcher shot his girlfriend Kassadra Michelle Perkins nine times earlier that morning, and after an argument that started at 1 AM, when he confronted her after she returned from a Trez Songz concert, and then continued through the night until 7 am, when Jovan opened fire.
Here’s Coach Crennel and Brady Quinn after the game.
Stay tuned.
