Ryan Chamberlain Part Of SF Bay Area Political Family, Needs Support

Ryan Chamberlain, the San Francisco political and social media consultant who went AWOL after so-called explosive (firecrackers?) were found in his apartment, is a well-connected member of the San Francisco / Oakland Bay Area politics and public policy community. I discovered this because I happened to check out his Facebook page just now, and notice that even though we have never met, and were not friends, he and I shared 34 mutual friends on the social media platform.

And that doesn’t include friends who may have rushed to disconnect from him once he went off the deep end.

UPDATE: Ryan Chamberlain Legal Defense Fund has started. You can contribute here:

UPDATE: Ryan was arrested a few hours ago:

Ok, I’m late to the party because I’m here in Georgia and not Oakland.  The news was popping at Zennie62.com, so I’m just now paying attention to it.

But talk about six degrees of separation.

That means Ryan Chamberlain is part of a small, somewhat close-knit, family of people who’ve worked on election campaigns on one side or the other, and helped craft messages that led to the passage of laws or the killing of them, and that have shaped the SF Bay Area’s very quality of life.

That’s no mean trick.

Let’s give Ryan some support. He’s obviously become troubled over a series of financial mishaps, and only he knows what else.

So what happened to Ryan Chamberlain?

It’s hard to say. But with so many people pulling for what seems like a nice man, perhaps that doesn’t matter.

All that matters is the road back.

UPDATE: the letter that he autoposted is below. One thing that does resonate with me is that he’s an only child who’s last remaining family member, his Mom, reads to be mentally gone. I have to say that’s where his Mom needs him to be strong. Ryan’s got to man up here. That’s what I have to be for my Mom, although she’s just fine, thank you.

Finding the magic woman is hard as hell to do in the Bay Area, so I can understand what he means. On the other hand, we guys can be a bit picky, too.

But in total, us only children get a tough deal but we have to handle it, otherwise, as Ryan’s showing, things can get worse. The thing is, he allowed himself to sink too deep, so deep his friends could not pull him out:

Stay tuned.
