Joan Rivers is a funny and legendary commedian, but that does not give her the right to make fun of Adele about her weight.
On the February 26th segment of The Late Show With David Letterman, Joan Rivers was supposed to be giving her recap of the Oscars, but it turned into her just making fat jokes of the lovely singer of the Oscar-wining song Skyfall that is Adele – even Letterman frowned while Rivers was talking.
Rivers said that Adele was Rolling In The Deep..fried chicken. Watch:
What Joan obviously didn’t know was that Adele had just given birth and was carry a little extra weight around Oscars time. But so what?
Later, when Adele requested an apology, Rivers claimed she did issue one and then said:
“She’s a chubby lady who’s very, very rich, and she should just calm down — or lose weight! She wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her a–. I said, ‘You are not fat.’ And then I had room for a lot of other ads. Adele is beautiful and successful and has what, $100 million? Let’s face reality: She’s fat.”
That’s mean, and morever, how would Joan Rivers like it if people started making fun of something she can’t control, whatever that may be.
Ok, her mouth.
Joan Rivers is a 79-year-old-star who should know better and just shut up about Adele’s weight and talk about her singing.
Stay tuned.
