Oakland Coliseum JPA Rejects Sports Execs For Tainted Politician For Director
The Oakland Coliseum Joint Powers Authority picked former Dublin Mayor Guy Houston over two noted sports executives for the role of Coliseum JPA Executive Director.

Mark Hart, the Director of Business Of The Pittsburgh Steelers, and Scott McKibben, the Commissioner of The A11 Football League and former Rose Bowl President, were both not selected over Houston. Meanwhile this space revealed that Houston was sued and settled in a civil case where he was accused of defrauding seniors out of over $300,000.

This blogger was told that Oakland Councilmember Larry Reid was the person on the JPA who, for some reason, asked for Houston to be considered. I called Larry for confirmation of that news but have not yet heard back from him.

The Coliseum JPA Decision to hire Houston is not official until October 17th. Meanwhile there are many many people who are more than upset with the Coliseum JPA. And many of those people are highly notable.

Stay tuned.
