Blaine Gabbert, the 10th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars, was with the wrong coach and wrong system for his first three years in the NFL. Now with the San Francisco 49ers and mature expectations, Gabbert was finally placed in a system that emphasizes what he does well. That and timely 49ers defensive schemes got a close win.
The Atlanta Falcons have lost their way schematically after ripping off five wins out of the gate. They forgot about their running game and forgot how to move the pocket and distribute the football with the passing game. They lost.
