Max Brooks is becoming a legend. The writer of the popular Deadliest Warriors episode “Vampires v. Zombies” was at Comic Con 2012 after a successful Comic Con 2011 appearance. This time Max happened to be standing next to me in the hallway next to Hall 6B, and I recognized him from the 2011 Deadliest Warriors panel. So he was cool enough to give me the video interview, and talk about Legendary Pictures new comic book division in development.

The idea is to make characters that Legendary Pictures can have control over and are both in comic book, and then movie form. It’s a good idea, if risky, because the characters may not be popular. But Brooks is pumped: “It’s pretty exciting. It’s pretty cool to be on the ground floor of a new nation.”

Stay tuned.
