Rick Santorum Had Dinner With White Supremacist – Earlier this week, I focused on GOP Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum’s “problems with Black people” as I called the video and blog. Some were skeptical of my claim of Santorum’s racist problem; this should provide more evidence that he has one.

On February 10th, during CPAC, two, as the media called them “White Nationalists” (which has less sting than the term “White Supremacist” hence the use of the term) were permitted to speak at the annual conservative convention. The first is Peter Brimelow, the founder of VDARE.com, a website that truthdig says is “an anti-immigration website that has long been described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate site. The second is Robert “Bob” Vandervoort, (no, not Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter) is executive director of the racist, anti-immigration organization called ProEnglish.

It was bad enough that Santorum was at the same event with those characters, but the news below took the issue to alarm bell status.

On Twitter, ProEnglish issued this tweet:

@proenglishUSA
Executive Director Bob Vandervoort just had dinner with Rick Santorum #cpac #conservative #tcot

That was on February 10th 2012.

The news didn’t make it much past a few blogs, but not to the mainstream media, or what’s left of it.

But the bottom line is in Santorum, we have a presidential candidate who makes statements about blacks that are boardline racist, then tips the scales by meeting for dinner with a known white supremacist.

Who is Bob Vandervoort? According to a number of sources, most notably The Institute For Research and Education On Human Rights, Mr. Vandervoort…

has posted items and comments about “the West’s very real racial and ethnic components” and his thoughts on how to “halt the cultural and racial dispossession of the West’s historic people,” meaning white people. These bits often appeared on the websites of white nationalists Peter Brimelow (VDARE) and Lawrence Auster (View from the Right)….Not confined to racial criticism alone, Vandervoort has also tried to lay out a vision for white nationalism. He’s repeatedly argued that traditional Christianity “is at the crux of any budding race-conscious and racial-realist movement.”[22] And he’s tried to convince his white nationalist cohorts about the necessity of coming up with arguments to whitewash the stains of slavery and the Holocaust…

That is the man Rick Santorum has dinner with, and Santorum has not been questioned about his reasons for this, or his associations with Lord Voldemort, er Robert Vandervoort. That’s an outrage.

Rick Santorum is shaming the image of the American presidency with this behavior. He should step down from the campaign trail immediately.

Stay tuned.
