The video of a Cleveland RTA Bus Driver giving an uppercut to a woman passenger has sparked a national and international conversation about what happened.

This blogger felt the driver was at fault for not keeping his cool and stopping the bus until the unruly rider either stopped and sat down or got off the bus. (Still think so.) But others feel the woman “got what she deserved” and sided with the driver.

Now comes a report that Cleveland RTA bus drivers have been attacked 47 times over the last three years. NewsNet 5 says there were 22 reported assaults in 2010, 9 in 2011, and 16 in 2012 and this year’s not over.

It’s not hard to see, now, why the driver went off – even if he was wrong.
