SF Appeal Stopped Publication In 2016, But Website Is Still Up; For Sale?

The San Francisco Appeal was a news website which started in 2009. It is still up but the last post was placed July 11, 2016. What happened?

I reached out to the founder Eve Batey, and she said it was not for sale. I have a feeling that would change in the future.
