Colin Powell, famed Republican advisor, Secretary of State, and war hero, came on the CBS Morning News to give his endorsement for President Barack Obama.
While Mr. Powell also did this in 2008, it must be noted that Powell’s backing this time is equally important not just because it’s an endorsement of four years of Obama’s foreign policy, but because there’s a new generation of voters who have known of Powell, but were too young to be aware that he backed Obama before.
In so doing, Powell pointed to the essential message that has been advanced by those who have looked at Mitt Romney: that you can’t trust him. Listen:
