Warriors Beat Rockets 118-113 Without Kevin Durant Advance To 2019 WCF

The Golden State Warriors overcame the loss of the services of an injured Kevin Durant, and did what many oddsmakers said they would not do: beat the Houston Rockets in Game 6, in Houston 118-113.

It was a story of Klay Thompson’s 21 in the first half, and Steph Curry’s 34 in the second half. What was shocking is Curry did that after not scoring at all in the first half of this contest. In the second half, Curry scored 16 points in five minutes. He’s the basketball equivalent of a nuclear weapon. Period. And this nuke decided to activate himself after the Warriors big gun Durant went out with an injury. The Warriors returned to “strength in numbers” and won.
