Fallen Gates constable enshrined in Washington, DC – 13WHAM-TV

Dix died in 1932. He’s the only law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty from the Gates Police Department. His story was recently uncovered by the town’s historian. A number of Gates police officers took the trip to Washington D.C. for the vigil.
