Oakland Needs To Rebuild It’s Job Training Industry

There is an idea to use Measure KK funds to finance job training in Oakland. Rather than criticize that idea, I think that it points to a problem: the lack of a well-funded job training industry in Oakland. When Redevelopment law was active, Oakland had just that. It died with the death of Redevelopment Law. We have to bring it back, if only to help others transition to a more technically oriented society.
