Oakland Councilmember Blasts Acerbic Black Man, Enamored With His Own Intellect, Me
Oakland, California has long enjoyed the reputation of being a “black city”, that is one that has made contributions to black popular culture and is, one would assume, a safe place where someone black who reflects the idea that one should go out and get an education is prized.
Folks, I am here to tell you that’s not at all true. In fact, it’s the opposite. From my personal experience, the government of the City of Oakland does an incredible job of working to expel any black man who dares show he has a brain – unless in some way that man is “controlled” by it. The example I use is me. Take the latest episode in what is an ongoing gaga it seems in retrospect, of which I give the details below.
The basic short version has it that Oakland District Three Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney and Oakland Councilmember Larry Reid formed an idea called a Department of Violence Prevention.
